Welcome to Ascendant LLP’s Newest Attorney, Yuri Choe

We are delighted to welcome Yuri Choe as Ascendant LLP’s newest attorney. Yuri’s expansive corporate and international legal background will immensely benefit our clients.

Before joining Ascendant, Ms. Choe worked at Shin & Kim, LLC, recognized as one of Korea’s foremost law firms. As a senior associate there, she took charge of due diligence for cross-border M&A transactions, representing clients from multiple corners of the globe. Further highlighting her versatility, Yuri was integral in the underwriting process of warranty and indemnity insurance policies, where she supported insurance companies in risk evaluation for cross-border M&A transactions.

Yuri also possesses a deep understanding of corporate, technology, and privacy laws. Her deep-rooted understanding of these sectors, combined with her passion for emerging industries, makes Yuri exceptionally equipped to counsel clients navigating intricate business dealings in the global tech sphere.

Yuri completed her Bachelor of Science in 2013 and earned her law degree in 2016, both from Seoul National University.  Yuri also recently earned her Master’s in Law (LL.M) from New York University School of Law in 2023. Yuri is licensed to practice law in South Korea and is proficient in assisting our Korean-speaking clientele. She is currently awaiting her results from the California bar exam.
